Important Information on Public Transport
Leipzig offers an excellent public transport network: buses, trams, regional trains and suburban trains quickly and comfortably connect the airport, the Leipzig Exhibition Centre, the city centre, hotels and sights.
Tram line 16 takes you directly to the exhibition grounds (final stop "Messegelände"). You can also reach the Leipzig Exhibition Centre by regional train (RB) or suburban train (S-Bahn). On arrival alight at the station "Leipzig Messe".
Information on local transport connections to the Leipzig Trade Fair is available from the Deutsche Bahn timetable information service as well as from the Mitteldeutscher Verkehrsverbund and Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe.
Admission tickets as public transit tickets
Leipziger Messe is your ticket to sustainable travel! On the day you visit one of Leipziger Messe's own events, you can use our admission ticket to travel to and from the exhibition grounds for free using public transit of the Mitteldeutscher Verkehrsverbund (MDV) in the following zone: 110.
The Entertainment Area is open from the age of 12 - What do I need to be aware of?
The Entertainment Area with the integrated Stream Area is only open to visitors aged 12 and over for reasons of youth protection. This regulation also applies to babies and small children.
Age checks will be carried out before admission. Please bring a proof of age, such as an identity card or school ID. Unfortunately, we cannot allow exceptions such as the so-called "Muttizettel".
We would also like to point out that children and young people up to the age of 14 may only enter the exhibition centre if accompanied by a parent or guardian or a suitable supervisor (please read our house rules (PDF, 243 kB) ).
